Sarah Harries Obituary, A Valued Member Of In2Craft Has Died

Sarah Harries Obituary, Death – In profound sadness, we share the news of the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Sarah Harries, who departed from this world last week after a prolonged battle with illness. At the young age of 44, Sarah’s departure leaves a void that can never be filled. Our hearts overflow with love and sympathy for her grieving husband, Anthony, and her devoted mother, Lesley.

Known affectionately as “Crafty Sarah” and “Sarah Nibbles,” she graced our lives with her remarkable talents and warm spirit during her nine years of service at our shop in Haverfordwest. Sarah was a true artisan, an all-rounder who hosted inspiring in-store workshops, assisted our cherished customers, meticulously handled web orders, and diligently uploaded new products to our website. Her dedication and versatility were unparalleled.

In the midst of change when Sarah D and Ben took over the shop in 2020, Sarah continued to be an invaluable team member, even as her health posed challenges. She was the embodiment of kindness, compassion, and hard work. Sarah’s heart thrived in planning and conducting Make & Takes and workshops for our dear crafters, many of whom she counted among her closest friends.

Over the past couple of years, Sarah faced a relentless rollercoaster of hope and despair, alternating between hospital stays and confinement to her home, and on some occasions, she rallied to work a few precious hours in the shop. Throughout this tumultuous journey, she never uttered a word of complaint, always placing the needs of others ahead of her own. She would apologize for not doing more or taking time off for treatment, exemplifying a grace and selflessness that left an indelible mark on our hearts.

Sarah Harries bore her trials with unwavering dignity and courage, refusing to indulge in self-pity even when confronted with excruciating pain and bleak prospects. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit were a testament to her remarkable character.

We admired her. We appreciated her. We loved her deeply. And now, as we say our farewells, we do so with heavy hearts, knowing that our lives were immeasurably enriched by her presence. She leaves a void that cannot be filled, but she also leaves us with precious memories and the enduring inspiration of her indomitable spirit.

Rest in peace, dear Sarah. You will forever remain in our hearts.

With heartfelt condolences, Sarah D, Ben, Ruth & Poppy x
