Ray Starcher Obituary, Longtime Resident of Zanesville Sadly Passes Away

Ray Starcher Obituary, Death –  W. Ray Starcher, 68 years old and a resident of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on September 2, 2023 at the Emergency Room of Genesis Hospital. On January 23, 1955, Ray was born in the city of Zanesville. He is the son of Betty and Jack Drake, as well as Ray Starcher Sr., who passed away previously. After many years of service at Ohio Cat, where he was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic, Ray took his retirement.

He was a fellow operator engineer and a member of the Local #18 District 3 union. He served as Road Captain for the Men of the Watchtower Motorcycle Club in addition to being a member of the Risen Word Fellowship Church in Columbus, Ohio. Ray is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jane Marie (Paul) Starcher; his three children, Ray Starcher, Mike (Tracy) Starcher, and Bud (Tabitha) Starcher; his six grandchildren, Diamond Starcher, Suede Starcher, Koltin Catlin, Austin Starcher, Tomi Starcher and Buddy Starcher;

his siblings, Abby (Ray) Foraker, Bev (Ed) Racer, Scottie (Stacy) Drake and Stephanie (Brian) Daniels. On Friday, September 8, 2023, visitation hours will be held at the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls from 11 am to 1 pm, and funeral services will begin at 1 pm. The celebration will be presided over by Pastor Richard Jones. The Duncan Falls Cemetery will be the location of his final resting place.
