He was the son of James Faulkner and Susan (Long) Faulkner and was born on February 13, 1963 in LaHarpe, Illinois. After working as a truck driver for Shellman’s for a number of years, Randy transitioned to working in the parts service department for CarQuest in his latter years. He devoted each and every day of his life to spending time with his cherished pet and closest friend, Mika.
He was a devoted follower of the Dallas Cowboys. Randy found great satisfaction in restoring old cars and working on them. He enjoyed passing on his expertise in automobiles to his sons, grandsons, and even his customers. He was a fan of rock & roll from the 1970s and 1980s, and among of his favorite bands at the time included Candlebox and Lynard Skynard.
Randy delighted in playing jokes on others, and whenever he did so, his eyes would twinkle with pleasure and a sense of mischief. His hilarious and unique perspective on life will be sorely missed by all. His father, Jim Faulkner, of Carthage, Illinois; two half-brothers, Shawn (Katie) Stewart of Washington and Jamie Faulkner of Carthage; a stepsister, Tammy Rampley of Burlington; and a large number of aunts, nieces, and nephews are among his survivors. His biological mother Sue Boline and his stepfather Danny Boline, as well as his stepmother Linda Faulkner, a sister named Becky, and a brother named Eric all passed away before he did.
