Patricia Riley Obituary, In Loving Memory Of Patricia Riley

Patricia Riley Obituary, Death – My mother has been fighting cancer for a little over a year and a half, and as some of you may be aware, her struggle is now done. Early this morning, Patricia Riley went away in a calm and serene manner. Even though she didn’t get to spend much time with me in Florida, Linda Eaton and I made her feel like a princess and spoilt her (her words, not mine). Linda and I were able to take her to the beach one final time so that she could view the gulf after the hurricane had gone by us.

My mother wished to share the movie with you all along with the photographs she took. Because of the wind, it is difficult to make out what she is saying, but she did say that she like the swinging waves, the salt air, and that she was hoping to get caught in the rain. I am grateful that my sister, Melissa Hodgson, was able to come down here with me to be with our mother before she passed away. Together, we were able to tell her that everything was going to be taken care of here, that she didn’t have to worry any longer, that we got this, and that she can let go and run into the arms of Jesus and go walk those streets of gold.

I am thankful for this opportunity. Also, I would want to express my gratitude to all of my mother’s friends, church members, and family members who reached out to her, prayed with her, and visited her, especially all of her grandchildren and their families, as well as her great grandson. My mother felt very grateful for all of the affection that was shown to her.
