Nathan Laffin Obituary, New York, A Precious Soul Has Passed Away

Nathan Laffin Obituary, Death – The name “Nicholas Laffin” We, the family of Nicholas Laffin, would like to take this opportunity to offer our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all of our relatives, friends, and neighbors who have been so compassionate and supportive to us during this difficult time.

We are grateful to everyone who came and made the effort to be here with us. Our deepest gratitude goes out to everyone who helped us in any way by bringing food, calling, emailing, sending cards, memorials, donations to charities, or sending flowers. To everyone who worked at the Vets Wing at Harbour View Hospital, the kindness you showed us and the excellent care you provided will live on in our memories forever.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Father Peter MacNeil for the lovely memorial service and celebration of Dad’s life; it brought tears to my eyes. To the members of North Sydney Legion Branch 19, as well as Steve Mac Innis, who played the last post, and Courtney MacPherson, who played the bagpipes, what an incredible send-off you all provided.

It sounded lovely to the person who played the organ at St. Joseph’s Church in Bras d’or, Mrs. Gaskel, and to the choir there. Many thanks for the care and compassion shown by everyone at the Cancer Center, especially Dr. Wawver and the palliative care team, Dr. Jenson, and the rest of the staff. to J.M. Jobes Funeral Home for the sympathy shown and the professional manner in which it was conducted.

His great-granddaughters, Gracie Walsh and Jaiah Laffin, for presenting the gifts, and Breigha Unsworth, for offering intercessory prayers, would have made him so very proud. Dwayne Laffin, the grandchild, will be doing the readings. To Cory Keeping, as well as his grandsons Nathan Laffin, Michael Laffin, Stewart Stubbert, and Dwayne Laffin, and great-grandson Hayden Laffin, for serving as pallbearers at the funeral service.

I have no doubt that he beamed from ear to ear as he watched you carry him to the spot where he would spend the rest of his life. The trip that Dad is taking to join Mom and the rest of the family—our sister and brothers—has begun. I pray that they have found eternal rest. Family of the Laffin Name
