Nan Matthews Obituary, Death – Gratitude from the family of the late Nan Matthews (R.I.P.). We, the family of the late Nan Matthews, who passed away on August 9, 2023, would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest and most profound gratitude to everyone who expressed sympathy for our recent loss.

We greatly appreciated everyone who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, phone calls, and messages, as well as those who attended the visitation and funeral and made donations in lieu of flowers.  To those who traveled great distances to attend the vigil and funeral with us. Our gratitude is extended to those who assisted us in any manner with refreshments at the farewell.

To Fr. Adrian Farrelly, Linda Boucher, and everyone who participated in the Mass, we extend our sincere appreciation for the beautiful Mass, and for Linda Boucher’s exquisite singing. We would also like to express our gratitude to those who assisted in Nan’s care during her illness, particularly Drs. Hampshire and Torney of Meadowlands Surgery and the connected healthcare team.

Finally, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Patricia and the staff of Heaney Keenan Funeral Directors for their professional, dignified, and compassionate assistance in arranging Nan’s funeral. Since it is impossible for us to personally thank each individual, we cannot do so. Please receive our family’s appreciation and thanks as a token of our gratitude for all that you have done. The Month’s Mind Mass for Nan will be held on September 10, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Church on Dominic Street.
