Marvin Biehn Obituary, Family And Friends Mourns

Marvin Biehn Obituary, Death – After suffering from a stroke roughly three weeks ago, my father, Marvin Lee Biehn, passed away Friday night. He served his country honorably, was a wonderful parent and husband, and found satisfaction in the straightforward activities of life like fishing and golfing.

He was cherished and will be remembered fondly for all time.Dawn Biehn, age 67, of Mankato, Minnesota, lost her fight with cancer and passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017, at the Mayo Clinic Health System – Mankato. Memorial services will be held in the Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at 12 p.m.

Reverend John Petersen will preside over the ceremony. The Woodland Hills Funeral Home will be open for visitation for the full two hours before the start of the funeral.

Dawn Cassett was born in Mankato on October 11, 1949 to her parents, Herbert and Dorothy (Gray) Cassett. She attended Mankato High School and received her diploma there. On June 22, 1968, at the church of St. Joseph the Worker in Mankato, Dawn and Marvin “Sonny” Biehn exchanged vows and became husband and wife.

She put in more than 30 years of service at Carlson Craft. Fishing, vacations in Mexico, and quality time with her family and dogs were among her favorite activities. Dawn was a devoted supporter of the BENCHES organization as well as a Life Member of the VFW Post 950 Auxiliary Legion. She is survived by her mother Dorothy Cassett of Mankato; brothers Terry Cassett of Mankato and Russ (Cori) Cassett of Billings, MT; sisters Becky (Duane Tarjeson) Partanen of Mankato and Renee (Dave) Knudson of North Mankato; as well as a large number of nieces and nephews.
