John P. Kalynych Obituary, Death – On Sunday, August 27, 2023, a resident of Hellertown who was 50 years old and had previously spent a significant amount of time in Catasauqua passed dead unexpectedly. He was a reliable member of the Fire Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, Special Operations, 911 Communications, and MERT teams all around the Lehigh Valley. His abundance of expertise regarding how to manage urgent circumstances will be dearly missed by all. In addition to that, John was a co-owner of M & J Outdoor Services.

(Heller) Kalynych, and John’s significant other Jennifer L. (Beck) Steitz with whom he resided; sister Rebecca Ahner with her husband David; grandfather Kenneth W. Young; and an expected blessing due in October; along with two nieces, his aunt, uncles, and a host of extended family. Pearl Young, who was his maternal grandmother, and Paul and Mary Kalynych, who were his paternal grandparents, passed away before he was born.
