Jo Ann Carver Obituary, Death – She passed away on September 11, 2023 at the age of 76 at the Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage, Tennessee. She was born on November 23, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan, and she lived there until her death. Jo Ann Carver was born in the city of Detroit, which is located in Michigan. Both of her parents had passed away before she was born; James “Foss” Stafford and Martha Dean Pippin Stafford were her parents. She was their daughter. She had spent her entire working life at Tennessee Tech, and once she retired, she decided to become a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ.

Jerry Wayne “Dinky” Stafford and Johnny Ed “Tudor” Stafford, both of whom were her brothers, passed away before she did. Her brothers also passed away before her, joining her parents as those who came before her in death. Among her surviving loved ones are her daughter Shannon Pigg, who resides in Gainesboro, Tennessee with her husband Joey, her sister Carolyn “Dovely” Ramsey, who resides in Livingston, Tennessee with her husband Gary, and her nephews James Robert “J.R.” Kinnaird III and Cody Ramsey.

On Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., funeral services will be held at the Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, Tennessee. The event is going to be presided over by Brother Jimmy Anderson. Following the funeral service, the body will be taken to the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery so that it can be laid to rest there. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday and continue until the start of the services, which will be place in the afternoon on Saturday.
