James Cowell Obituary, Death – Jim, who had been with us for 67 years, passed away unexpectedly on August 17th, 2023, when he was just 67 years old. It is with great sorrow that we share the news of his loss. This news may be shared since Jim’s family has both asked and given us permission to do so. Jim was more than just a name; he was Josie’s adored spouse, the doting father of Ian and Lynne, and a treasured grandfather to all of his grandchildren.

His existence brought joy and affection into the lives of those who had the good fortune to know him, and the void that he leaves behind will be strongly felt by everyone. A funeral ceremony will be place on Friday, September 15th, at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Great Eccleston. The purpose of the event is to commemorate Jim’s life and celebrate his legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully begs that you give some thought to making a philanthropic contribution in Jim’s name to “Thumbs up for Charlie,” an organization that had a special place in his heart.
