Glenn Doucette Obituary, Death – Glenn Clifton Doucette, 63 years old, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 12, 1958. After a lengthy illness, he passed into the palms of the Lord on April 14, 2022. Glenn was the son of the late Glenn Paul Doucette and Carolyn Jones Doucette. Glenn attended Corpus Christi Catholic School, Francis W. Gregory Jr. High and Joseph S. Clark Sr. High. He worked in the Department of Maintenance at HANO, Touro Hospital, and the Blood Center. As a young man, Glenn thoroughly relished and excelled at baseball.

Glenn’s passion for the game led him to become a baseball and football coach for the New Orleans Recreation Department (NORD). When he retired from participating, he continued to follow the latest sports news, particularly concerning New Orleans teams. He was an active member of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church until his illness prevented him from attending services. He had a profound affection for his wife and family. The importance of his offspring, grandchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews cannot be overstated.

His valued these relationships and anticipated seeing and conversing with them. Glenn is survived by his cherished wife Diana Gould Doucette, his daughters Laquisha Doucette-Harris (Edtillion “Cain”) and Fallon Doucette-Johnson (Rufus), as well as his grandchildren Deja Doucette, Taylor Jackson, Mekhai Doucette, and Marissa Johnson. His sister Kim Doucette, his mother-in-law Sadie Gould, his sisters-in-law Maggie Gould, Yolanda Glaspy, and Carolyn Gould, and his brothers-in-law also survive him. Matt Gould, Michael Gould, godson Brian Jones, and a large number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was succeeded in death by his grandparents, Rita Ratleff Jones, Clifton Jones, Sr., Alvin Doucette, Sr. and Ophelia Doucette, and uncles Clifton Jones, Jr., Glenn Jones, Sr., Melvin Doucette, Ralph Doucette, Alvin Doucette Jr., and Roland Doucette. Family and friends, as well as the pastor, officers, and members of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, are invited to the funeral service on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the church located at 8282 I-10 Service Road. Pastor Fred Luter Jr. presided. Visitation of the church from 9 am until service time. Littlejohn Funeral Home, located at 2163 Aubry Street, was entrusted with the care of a deceased individual.
