Bob Jones Obituary, Death – It is with profound sadness that we share the news of Bob Jones’s passing. I received the heartbreaking message from Bob’s sister, informing us that he peacefully departed early on Thursday morning, the result of complications arising from a fractured hip. While not all of you may have had the privilege of playing alongside Bob, those who did will remember him as a consummate Gentleman, whose calm demeanor was a reflection of a life spent soaring through the skies as an airline pilot.
Bob’s presence at our club was a source of tranquility and camaraderie. His unwavering composure, no doubt influenced by his extensive career in aviation, was a reassuring constant. He was the embodiment of grace under pressure, a quality that undoubtedly earned him the respect and admiration of all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we grapple with the void left by Bob’s absence, we reflect on the cherished memories we’ve had the privilege to create alongside him. He was not just a fellow club member; he was a friend, a mentor, and a role model to many. Bob’s legacy is one of kindness, patience, and a deep love for the game that brought us together.
In memory of Bob Jones, we invite fellow club members to join us in bidding him a final farewell. His funeral will take place at Evesham Crematorium on Friday, the 29th of September, 2023, at 11:00 am. After the service, we will gather at The Chequers Inn in Fladbury, where we can celebrate Bob’s life and share stories of our time together. Your presence and support during this time of loss would be greatly appreciated. Bob, may you rest in eternal peace, and may your rolls be ever favorable. Your legacy of grace and camaraderie will continue to inspire us, both on and off the green. You will be deeply missed, dear friend, and your memory will forever be a cherished part of our club’s history.
